Glass Cleaner

So I washed her for the first time yesterday. Dried her off and used Armorall Glass cleaner. There were spots on the glass that I simply could not get cleaned off. Looked like water spots and believe me I was workin' that microfiber cloth.

Enter the Internet search, learned about Stoner Invisible Glass. This stuff ain't no bull****. I am now a believer. All the glass was cleaned in about 5 minutes.

Re: Glass Cleaner

Stoners is the best but don't let it get onto your paint. It is great on glass and works perfect to clean chrome.

Re: Glass Cleaner

Armor all is great on the tires only....
Personally...I wax my windows with liquid wax on the inside to get the oily film from the a/c system off the glass, and spray wax the outside ones....better than rain x. When the inside windows get a bit cloudy...2 rags...on to wipe and 1 to buff and they look like new again...

Re: Glass Cleaner

Do not use Windex if you have tinted windows. The ammonia will attack the adhesive and give you bubbling/purple tint.

Don't use windex period on car windows. The Tint shop recommends Sprayway I've used it for years.

Re: Glass Cleaner

Lol... definitely don't clean your windows when the car is hot or in direct sunlight. Been there, done that.

The first window I sprayed it on the glass and it got on the paint, cleaned it off immediately -- after that I just sprayed the microfiber towel and it worked great.

No aerosol for me, used the spray bottle.

How so. It's good for waxing a car. Not so much windows. At least on mine

Re: Glass Cleaner

I wax my windows...liquid on the inside and spray on the outside. mine is still throwing the subtle hint of oil out when I run the a/c...its great for cutting that down and making for easier cleanup, and stuff slided right off the outside much like rain x

works wonders if you detail a car thats been smoked in...takes the nicotine off in one hit...

I love being a non-smoker and now having a car that will never be smoked in...

Yeah I spray wax the outside with turtle wax ice and it works without a problem, but I just wipe the insides with a dry microfiber cloth. Then I use windex on the chrome rims to give them that nice mirror finish.

Re: Glass Cleaner

I've waxed the exterior of my windows for a long time. Never waxed them inside but I have no real desire to. Waxing the outside helped with water spots and easy of use with a spray wax that lets you wax everything.

Really? I don't smoke but I get an occasional detail that's been smoked in.

I mean scratches, my body guy used to do that when he was younger and scratched his fox body's windshield. Now he does it flawless. I don't want to try it if I'll mess up my windows :/

Re: Glass Cleaner

Apparently it is like Rain-X. Amazon sells it and there are some reviews you can read on their site.

I guess there is an on going battle with people on which is best, Aquapel or Rain-X. The consensus is the Aquapel stays on the glass longer.

I have always used White vinegar and water mix then use a newspaper to wipe it off and it works better the anything.

It's not supposed to streak like RainX. I haven't used it so I cant say.

Re: Glass Cleaner

my choice of wax is light and doesnt scratch..it cleans
And yes 99, it works wonders on smoked in rides...try it...
I hate rain x (ala grumpy smurf) smears more than anything...first had to use it at the car wash I worked for in the 80's-90's started using that..and if you didnt get it off all the way....oui the customer complaints. Waxing your outside windows gets the same results at less price

I have heard that it can change color on tint, so it looks like only outside
