Exhaust

Think i want the magnaflow competition axlebacks but there's no muffler... Idk if that is good or bad? Does that hurt gas mileage?

Re: Exhaust

you talking about this setup?

god that'd be loud lol...but as for mpg no it won't hurt it. might even gain 1-2 mpg since you're increasing exhaust velocity

That is for the GT and is the catback not the axle-backs.

Re: Exhaust

yeah...wishing i'd have gotten that magnaflow...It sounds meaner than my flowmaster...but the dealer said that would void my warranty with no muffler. They look for anyway out of that here at the beach
once warranty is done...phooey!

A) That kit won't lower your fuel economy. Mine didn't go down with my straight pipes.

B) That's shady how they're telling you having no muffler will void your warranty. I've gone over my warranty with every mod I've done and the only thing I've done that can void it is the tuner. That being said, the only way any mod voids anything is if it is in direct relation to something going wrong in the engine. Ford has told me that the intake, exhaust, and even my new gears do not void the warranty. I think you've been dooped.

C) This thread does sound awfully familiar and I'm a noob here myself...

Re: Exhaust

Noisy.....really depends on the dealer.
My service dept didnt even want me to install a CAI.....but knowing the owner helped push that and the flowmaster system for approval. only 4.9 more years..and them im really gonna have fun!
