I was going to buy the $80 one from AM but It was out of stock so I tried plasti dip and I like it a lot. It's very durable too and easy to remove if you don't want it. Just peel it off!

Re: Deck lid panel

Exactly....$6 bucks for a can and a roll for painters tape vs. $80+....not a hard choice...

I have been waiting so long for that deck lid panel but just recently called and canceled. The previous pics look good... Maybe I should just do that? Otherwise, I was thinking of ordering the same one AM has from LMR....

Re: Deck lid panel

Unfortunately, if there's one thing I am not doing, it is putting that much vinyl across my car.. I'm not a fan of vinyl and really would like to take the stripes off the sides of my car but still debating on it for fear of paint discoloration

I've played with vinyl for the past 8 years on all my cars as my mom owns a shop.. And they only problem we have ever ran into is clear coat scratches.. The paint dosnt fade the clear under the viyne looks new sometimes so some rubbing compound and wax will fix anything you would run into.. So bassicly if your clear still looks good I say take the stripes off..

Wow that's a good price. SO wish I had that body style hehe. Being that my car is red, I thought the paint underneath the stripes would be brighter being that the car has probably faded over its lifetime so far.. Is that a lie?

I painted mine and had it clear coated with the boss stripes and such. It looks great till the swirl marks that naturally occur, well occur.

Re: Deck lid panel

I've debated as adding that or the MMD to my list of when i feel like "wasting" some more money in the future. It looks ok on a black car, but i'm not sold either way on them just yet

The tails are actually Smoked darker than how they look in that pic... So it's a nice smooth transition from tails to the panel
