Your fault or theirs? In some states, the insurance payout is supposed to compensate devaluation due to an accident.

Re: How much would you say my car is worth?

Just do an appraisal on KBB or something. Instead of it getting excellent condition, just drop down to whatever tier matches your car.

No way!! There was a Grabber Blue GT that was in the shop last summer the same day mine was! How do people not see such a bright car?? He was rear-ended like I was but his damage was worse...back window busted and they had to cut more of the body away than mine. Warning...these pics are pretty gruesome

Got hit from behind while I was stopped in traffic for a car turning into a gas station. Guy was going around 45 mph before he slammed on the brakes then into me. Then I hit the car my friends were in, in front of me. The front shock absorber was cracked but the front bumper was only scuffed. Crazy day...

Anyhow, sorry your car was damaged!! If you're trying to find out how much it may still be worth I'd ask a dealer or check the Black Book value.

If it has frame damage it wont be worth much anymore. If you pull carfox or autocheck and it shows frame damage it depreciates lower than what kbb will show

---------- Post added at 09:18 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:16 PM ----------

An attorney can find out and go after the insurance for the depreciation but good luck with that

Darn right. I cried like a little girl too. But luckily the frame and axle weren't bent so I was back on the road in a couple weeks and the guy that hit me was at fault.

Just saddens me when a pretty pony gets banged up. Hopefully this guy didn't bend his frame up and can get 'er all fixed up like new. Carfax is a good way to go to check if his shows up, but it prob takes a little while.

They can take a Rear hit from behind at 55. Mine looked similar to this on my 02. Crazy stuff and it didn't do much to my bumper but totaled his impala.

At 55? Whoa. It speaks for these cars though, they're pretty stout. I got blasted by a Jeep Cherokee. I saw him coming up in my rear-view mirror and it was like that helpless split second where I saw him but couldn't do anything about it. It all went in slow motion after that, so bizarre. But yeah, I'm just thankful he had insurance and my car wasn't totaled. The Jeep didn't look too bad. They said it was a lucky thing he was driving a higher sitting vehicle because the way he hit me was just high enough to miss the frame, and also avoided scooting up under my car. Plus the rear window didn't bust. Could have been worse.

I'd put my kid in one if I had a kid lol but it busted a "whale" impala and mine just started up fine beside both the exhaust pipes being wrapped under the rear end. Crazy stuff. Then the insurance battle oh boy.
