Wires hanging down from seats

I'm curious about something. I was letting my friends ride up front the other day, and I rode in one of the back seats for the first time. (My legs are still recovering.) I noticed that there are wires hanging down from the underside of the front bucket seats. Is that normal, or is that something I need to talk to the dealer about? It doesn't seem right to me...

Re: Wires hanging down from seats

Isn't that just the wiring for the electric seat adjustments and the sensor to enable the passenger airbag?

Re: Wires hanging down from seats

Well that's probably what it's for - I'm just afraid someone's going to rip them out with their feet or something. Do these hang down in your car?

Mine hang some but unless you wear a size 15 you won't touch them. The vacuum cleaner on the other hand I worry with mine. They seem so fragile

Re: Wires hanging down from seats

That's what I was afraid of. Something's up with these seats. Off to the dealer. I hate the dealer. I swear I will do just about anything to avoid that nasty waiting room with 4 month old copies of SI.

The seats are cheap. It's a Ford, that's pretty much how it is.
