The tune you "can" just set it back to factory before you take it in. That's why I went with the BAMA tuner... Big difference too well worth it!!

Re: Anyone else love the power?

Ford understands that modding Mustangs , to a degree is part of the "Mustang Ownership Experience." Also, BAMA has warranty protection of it's own. You don't have much to worry about with the BAMA tune.

Yes!! Especially when the person in front of you starts messing around, speeds up, slows down. Your like "err what is your problem." punch it, get pushed back into the seat and take off.

I love feeling the power. Like when I'm going 45mph in 6th and floor it. It's like Driving Miss Daisy!

Haha I hate that!! If you're going to drive slow, fine but stick to a rate of speed! Don't go from 55-75 then back to 55 and so on...

Re: Anyone else love the power?

In Kentucky, we have a lot of steep hills on the interstate. If you don't use cruise control, you have to mash the accelerator more and let off going downhill to maintain speed. People from FL, GA, MI, and OH are notorious for being unable to do this. Really ticks me off when they block the left lane because they're unwilling to accelerate uphill, but they fly down them.

Re: Anyone else love the power?

I'm happy....reading 317HP at the computer for output and getting 284 at the rear wheels. Plenty enough to get in trouble with at the beach...LOL!
If had to do it again....I'd scrimp and save for a 2013 Shelby GTS with the procharger and trick it up with their options (built to a 55K price tag) or just get the Boss 302. If ever win the lottery ...ill get both, yeah who am i kidding......crazy laugh

284 at the wheels with just a cold air? Impossible.. Would need a really good tune. And isn't the GTS a V6? or no? I wouldn't spend $55k on a V6 when I could get the GT500 for that price. That's just me lol

Boss 302 so you get the rawest power without the wear and tear of a super charger. And you get good gas mileage along with a rare car.

Tollway driving around Chicago just plain sucks. Hit the gas, slam on the break, floor it, slam on the break. I mean, come on! One it's not good for mpgs, two it's probably not good for you car, and three it's damn annoying! Any opening that I get, I take to get around people like that and give them a little bit of Mr. Roush in the process.

More like 50-110 is fast but in the v6 once you hit the 100 mark it feels slow.-_-

Re: Anyone else love the power?

I was honestly expecting more from 305hp, seems very sluggish unless you REALLY downshift and push the rpms very high. When I am on the interstate around 70 and I want to speed up if I dont downshift to 5th at least its a very slow painful process.

It has to be to get the good gas mileage. I can live with the high rpms for the better mileage. I've never taken it above 100 so I don't know how much high end power it has. I'm not removing the limiter till my warranty expires. I did have it in 6th at 60 on the highway and it still felt strong in passing.

been up to 95 on hwy 31 (auto-beach) here in Myrtle...during Mustang week...had plenty of pedal left to go with in 6th......might have to take it to darlington drag strip and see what she'll do

Re: Anyone else love the power?

It's decent, but it feels about the same as a 3.5 v6 in the altima that my mom used to have. Except that i'm in a "mustang".

I think it's slower in the low end, which i know a tune and gears can help out, they are on the wish list.

It is still peppy, and i can get close to 30 on a road trip if i want to, which is nice.

Re: Anyone else love the power?

I am just not used to having to rev so high to get power I guess, my cobra basically has 600ftlbs from 3k rpm up just have to get used to it. If I hold the rpms up higher the gas mileage goes down so I generally shift early (2k or before). My 50/50 mix driving gets me 23-24mpg, but highway at 70 I will get 29.

I have hit the limiter many of times. 115 approx. in 6th your at 3000 rpms. I always downshift to speed up to it because it's such a slow process when your up high in speed. If I remember correctly the limiter hits in fifth at 5000 rpms. Still plenty of room to grow if only the damn drive shaft wasnt crap.

I should add to that by saying I was trying to do the same with my drive shaft and the only ford dealer out here says it will void my warranty
