CAI and axel back. Good luck proving either of those did anything to harm my car, but technically both "void" the warranty.

Hahaha! I already dodged a huge bill b/c of this! A couple months ago i painted my calipers. Well the bracket started to work loose and it sounded exactly like a bad strut! So i took it in and got a rental car and they spent 5 hours finding the source of the sound! When i got the bill i was like "oh crap!!!!! It was my fault!!!!!!" Well long story short i politely reminded them that my family had bought 7 vehicles from them in the last 3 years and they said that they would forgive this one.... i owe them big time!!!!! I will be buying tires from them next.... sigh

the only way it makes any since to do it is to go big, like supercharger etc, just little things that really do very little just doesnt seem worth losing the warranty.

Kinda depends on the dealer too. Some may be more lenient then others. Especially with "little" things.

Re: Anyone void their warranty yet?

i kno, taking out the cats will void the warranty. with the 10+ models, the ECU leaves a time stamp every time you tune your car, and ford can check that

Re: Anyone void their warranty yet?

100k bumper to bumper or powertrain? Honestly, if the powertrain lasts 60k, it's good. The stuff I'd be more worried about is interior/exterior components lasting.

My Malibu I bought used at 8k miles. Before the bumper to bumper went out, I had the headliner, rear cupholder, a piece of dash trim, and the whole steering column assembly replaced under warranty. All of them were nagging issues except the steering column, it actually went nutty and disabled stability control. Got rid of that car trading in on the Mustang with 37k miles on it. Good riddance.

Yeah, idk how anyone can wait 60-100k miles. That'd take me at least 6+ years considering it's not a DD. By then I would've traded it in. I bought my stang with the intention to mod and make my own. Isn't that what they're for? Keeping it stock is no fun imo. I'm sure not everyone feels the same way but that's just me.

LOL. You kept talking about GM, but I thought you knew Ford warranty. I've experienced GM warranty, but this is my first Ford (first brand new vehicle, and only 2nd vehicle thats been under a factory warranty).
