I also have a 2012 pwny with the same rims as you, personally I love the matte when it's on black. But I couldn't handle a whole gloss black car with matte rims. I ended up going and getting mine painted to match body color black. After all was said and done at the shop I've been going to, I left with matching paint rims and only $300 outta pocket. Just my input tho

They make a 'glossifier' for the plastidip - was gonna give that a shot. If it doesn't work, I was just gonna invest in a whole lot of tire wetshine

I painted mine with duplicolor wheel paint. The color is graphite with a clear coat on it. Its held up very well most people dint believe I just painted them. They think its factory.

Pros - cons, etc.

I'm going to get a wheel & tire package eventually, but it's just not in the budget for the next 6-12 months and I'd like to switch it up in the mean time.
2 cans should do you. You may want 3 because it's addicting, and you'll also have some left for touchups. I did 2 good coats.

I can't remember how long it took to complete the wheels. If you give your self 3-4 hours you should be fine.

No problem almost everyone here loves Plasti-dip. You'll get a lot more compliments on the car.

Oh like I said it is addicting.

If you buy the black plastic dip will it be like a matte black or a glossy black?

I'm plasti dipping my rear valence and side skirts today if the wether permits. How does it do in rain? I have a huge garage but not sure if temperature will affect it sticking.

I'd give it 24 hours to dry before driving in rain. Just cuz I'm weird. That's just me.
