Firmer automatic shifts by tuning

Does firmer shifts help or hurt your transmission . I have a bama tune and the shifts got firmer but I heard that is ok because it reduces friction . Is this okay ?

geepoons,

Yeah that's true! Firmer/quicker shifts reduce heat, and heat is what hurts a transmission. So by reducing heat, your Bama tune will help the longevity of your Trans.

Let me know if you have any questions!

Yeah, honestly its reducing wear on transmission clutch packs. It might wear your transmission mounts and things that have to deal with the shock of the harder shifts a bit faster, but it's better for the transmission itself.
