Plasti Dip Wheel Tip

Did my stock rims this weekend. Very happy with results. Make sure you clear the dip from the lug nut mating surface. I used a pick to rub along the top edge and then removed the dip.

Re: Plasti Dip Wheel Tip

It turned out great, nice job! How did the process go? Pretty smooth?

Re: Plasti Dip Wheel Tip

probably best if you take the rims off and do it vs doing it on the car

Wheels where removed. When I put the wheels back on the lug nuts grabbed the dip on the mating surface and started to pull the dip from the socket. I used a razor knife to cut the lug nuts loose and repaired the dip. When I did the second side I removed the dip and install was very simple. One other thing I did was keep a rag handy and every couple of sprays I would wipe the tip off to stop it from clogging up.

Dont do the dip on a hot day . If its too hot out the dip will dry too fast and it leaves a flakey finish on the wheels , not a good look : (
