Take your mufflers off for a day. Drive around like you normally would. This is how loud the competitions will e except slightly tamer. This gave me an idea of if I wanted a glorified straight pipe or muffler system.

Re: $200 for magnaflow streets?

There's not a lot newer Mustang parts on CL as I'm finding. I'm a big CL watcher and looking pretty much every day in my surrounding areas and got lucky when I found my Roush axle backs a good hour or so away. If they're in good condition, I'd say go for it. The street series still sound pretty good in my book, but maybe not as loud as you want them to be. Buttt, for $200, it might be a good start and if you don't like them, turn around and sell them for $250.

Like the others said. $200 is a great deal. I wish I could find great deals like that around here where I live. I don't even have my car yet, but I would buy those in a heartbeat at that price.

If they're not scratched up, buy them. Most people prefer them over the Comps, it seems.

Re: $200 for magnaflow streets?

I have the magnaflow Street series on my 6. When i removed the Factory axle backs ... Whoa about 40 lbs each factory muffler. Alot of weight freed up ... 2nd. The ones I got were polished w/tips and actually for a gt setup.. So I modded the muffler to make it fit 2 new hangers and welded up .... She purrs and howls great. Very little drone on the interior , I can still enjoy my radio and talk on the phone. When I open her up mann she sounds great and really pulls harddd. Also I documented mpg before and after........... I gained 1.5 mpg.. oh price... I paid. 325$ for the set. Did my own install at my shop.. So i paid myself in beer
