I hate my mustang and me.

Today, I was at a gas station circling around to the other side. Coming into one of the entrances was a Chevy 6 wheel and his giant pull behind home. His turn was too wide so I turned. Right into the curb of the car wash. Is is just as high as my door. My car has a bent spot from were the way it was sitting on the curb and the rocker panel popped/ broke loose in some spots.

Now that we are all on the same page on my idiocy, how do I take it off, and put it back on without causing more damage than has already been done? Thanks y'all

The rocker should be bolted on there are some on the front wheel well and rear wheel well. Then are some bolts under the side of the car after you remove those it should just pop off.

Re: I hate my mustang and me.

Sorry to hear man! Dont feel so stupid our cars have very high belt lines, makes it hard to see whats around you on the ground...im so used to driving an suv which is so much easier to judge things.

I'll take a picture when I get out of class. My car isn't exactly fixed but rigged to look like its fixed. Lat minute decision to go to the v6 bumper instead of GT. but anyway, it bent and tore the rocker panel to pieces on the bottom and it has a slight bow in the side. It's on there with the old tore out plugs, I'm getting some more today. If it so bad I can't apply heat to get it straight I'll jut get the roush ones off AM.

I agree, with drivin these cars around concrete structures or anything that is low and hidden, you have to see it before the hood covers it and remember where it was at. I forgot about the little barrier and my car was tiltered on it. Ahhh yolo you strike again. I think I've learned more about this car through destruction and repair than actually modding lol

So I take it you didn't file a police report and contact your insurance company?

Why would I? It's my own mistake for over turning and not remembering the turn. Plus it'll go up for no reason. My upbringing told me that if it ain't broke don't fix it. But if you can fix then fix it. If not seek help.
