How do I take these little suckers out so I can paint them like 2013s? I took out the back carpet and kinda the plastic piece, now what?

When you take out that platic piece or enough of at least, you should see some screws right behind the taillights. Unsrew them and it comes out easy. The hard part is removing the bulbs w/o breaking them (which I broke one..) You have to twist them to a point and they should pull right out. If you're pulling on it and it's not coming out then you gotta twist it more, so don't pull too hard.

What's the little rubber thing go to? It's right behind the carpet plastic thing. I didn't want to damage it. And where could I get replacement bulbs in the event I break one?

A piece or set.... I was going to put plasti dip on my tail lights for $6. I wasn't expecting to pay almost $80 worst case scenario

Re: Tail lights

My suggestion, if you're scared of damaging a bulb, is to disconnect the harness and gently push the harness' rubber gromet through the opening it's mounted to so that you don't have to remove the bulbs from the housing. One of my links mentions doing this I think.

It did. I'm going to to either man up and take them out to paint the squares on or just use newspaper around the deck lid and spray close. $75 for a bulb is hella steep.

Just leave them on and plasti dip them or use a vinyl that doesn't bleed threw. I did mine about a month ago I plasti diped 5 layers so it doesn't show threw then I put smoked lense tint over it and put my bezles back on.

How bad is the overspray, on a white car I might add. I'm putting squares in them but maybe 3 coats to resemble the 2013 lights. It's my first time with plasti dip too

Since its plastidip overspray isnt a issue just peel or rub it off with your hand. As for the stencil as soon as your done spraying the last layer peel the stencil off before it dries or it will stick. Key tips are to spray evenly after every layer have someone step on the brakes until it doesn't show

First attempt. Not so well once the night came. But I have a feel for plasti dip. My gf loved peeling it off lol

Re: Tail lights

Looks like you're getting the hang of things. I'd try to use formulaDstang's image as a template for the shape of the blackouts.
