advertised vs actual hp

we all know for a fact that you don't really gain the advertised HP gains that are advertised. anyone want to offer an explanation

Well, you do get the advertised HP. Just not all of it gets to those rear wheels because of drivetrain loss and such.

1/4 mile runs arent always expected either then advertised,,Mine was advertised as high 13s,,it was a kick in the nu#$,,when i barely got a low 14,,with the 93 tune

Our cars also adjust timing automatically for higher octane gas (to a degree, still can benefit from a tune). advertised hp is with premium fuel, at flywheel.

That has more to do with driver then anything. High 13's and very low 14's have been done on a stock V6.

I wanted to go to 1/4 mile but the closest one is 2 hrs away
