First Time Plasti Dip

So I was looking into getting a take off gt bumper from eBay cause I like the black grille surrounds, but I figured I'd give this a try first to save a few hundred. Turned out pretty nice, though I could not for the life of me get a straight edge along the bottom.

Don't feel bad man I couldn't get an exact edge on mine either. But most people won't notice except you. Looks good though.

also, using a fine line pin stripe tape at the edge of the painters tape might help in the future if you ever try again.

Thanks,

So does anyone know how well this stuff hangs with temperature change? It was high 90s when I put it on a week ago and it should be in the 40s when I make a trip to Reno next week.

It is insanely hard to get a straight edge because you have to use a razor blade or pull the tape off before your plastidip dries.

What zinc said. Pull the tape off while the dip is still wet is what I've always heard do. I had my pillars painted, I wanted them to last as long as possible, along with the bottom center of my bumper.

Looks like it turned out great though GK

It last pretty darn good, I plasti dipped a after market grill and it's still on after 3 1/2 months of Texas heat. I also made a rear blackout panel with plasti dip and it looks and feels great
