Airaid came in

The airaid filter came in and I am freaking excited. If I only lived now in Florida or some other state that had nice weather so I can put it in without having my hands freeze. Lol. But seriously can't wait to put it in. have heard so many good things about this filter

Ur gna love it man, I got it on my white pony and you can really hear the Whistle when press on the gas, for better air flow get a throttle body spacer! Your gna have to cut the air box just a little for it to fit but it gives u better MPG and performance, and it REALLY WHISTLES! hahaha

Lol. Appreciate it rebel. . I went to school at UF so I know what ur talkin about. Miss it down there. Especially after I thought u left this hurricane mess when I moved back 6 yrs ago. I live on the jersey shore. Luckily my condo is ok. Just got power last night.

Cut the air box????? I heard its tight but geez. I don't have the tools for that.

So like i said, cut the airbox??? didn't hear about that, just heard it was super tight.

is a throttle body spacer different from a throttle body? i heard that it's no use changing the throttle body in the v6 cause it's not forced injection?

The spacer goes between the throttle body and the intake if I'm not mistaken

Well since we picked the Airaid intake it won't fit, the spacer adds about 3/4 an inch and goes between the throttle body and intake manifold. So you have to cut the air box with a Dremel or whatever just enough around the circle of the filter to make it slide through.

I see. Is the spacer worth it? Over the TB mod? Doesn't seem to be a popular go to mod from my research on the forum. How about the 2013s?

I got a 2mpg increase and much better throttle response and it looks cool and sounds ****en awesome! Hahaha I got mine for 65 so it's worth it to me! Just on the gas alone!

I just put in the filter and what a pain in the ass!!. My brother and his friend and I are tried to put in the tube for over 45 minutes after following the directions by putting the silicon seal for on the tube first then into the airbox then the throttle body. We realized after checking the forum that a way we tried after 15 min but failed did work for some people. So we tried this method again which was to put the seal on te throttle body first and we got it on after using a screw driver to slip it on. If that wasn't a pain enough the screws didn't fit easy to secure the air box after the tube install. It took some jiggling. But of course I dropped one of the screwed down the air box intake!!! After trying to use a magnet with a string to get it out we tried using pliyers by hand while someone have directions OB where the screw was. It was actually visible through the grill!! After that didn't work we tied scotch tape to the pliyers and my bro got it out. So after 3.5 hrs of trying to install this tight fit we got it!! Yeah we made some mistakes but I tell u I don't think I can get that tube on by following the directions. By the way, I never saw that connector before on the leads for the battery. I actually unscrewed the screw on the battery terminal and now stripped the bolt / screw. It makes good contact but ill have to replace it some time. Don't know how though lol it's attached to a bracket

Anyways......lol

I did take it for a test run and I am smiling now
