Most of the manuals I have looked have the pipe on the inside too.

Look at them side by side, they are completely different mufflers and sound different too. The manual stock mufflers have nicer tips and a louder/deeper sound.

They also have different part numbers auto vs manual.

Does anyone know the purpose of that pipe that stubs out on the back side of the V6 muffler?
