Question BAMA 87 Street or 87 Performance tune?

I installed my Airaid CAI today and it sounds beautiful and also loaded my 87 street tune and it runes even stronger now. I was wondering about the 87 Performance tune that is also on the tuner... I want to use it but I love my MPG obviously i got a V6.. if its just a couple of miles then i dont care but if its like 5 or more ill be pissed... Anyone know anything on this? Street tune or performance?

Most likely won't make much of a difference in performance or mpg. The performance increase can really be seen using higher octane fuel(93) but not much would be gained or lost with 87 a performance tune. You can always load it up(the 87 performance) and run it for a tank, can't hurt ya and you might feel a small difference.

Aruiz,

I'm glad to hear you're enjoying your AIRAID and Bama Tune Combo! This set up definitely wakes up your car. Thanks for the Awesome Feedback!

You'll be fine with the Performance tune! You'll actually see and increase in gas mileage as long as you're easy on the throttle. If you're constantly on the gas then you may see a small decrease, but not 5MPG!

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any further questions! Our Bama Performance tuning specialists are here in the building Monday-Friday from 9AM-5:30PM EST and Saturday 9AM-5:30PM EST. You can hit them up directly at 888.226.9764 and they'll get you squared away!

-Dan

Notice, Dan said "as long as your easy on the throttle".... I'm thinking that is probably why most of us see a decrease in MPG. I don't think many of us are getting the supposed 30mpg, I know my car says I get around 24.

The 30 mpg is Hwy. Mixed with city driving its around 24-25 mpg.
