LED Lighting

I was wondering if anyone had some suggestions on good Interior LED Lighting for under dash both sides and rear seats. Ive seen some vids of lighting that flashes with the music and such but cant find them anywhere. I have a 2012 stang conv. V6 in yellow glaze.

I'm guessing you did not buy the "premium" package, as this would have given you the what I call "mood" lights. I can change these lights in my 2011 to red, blue, etc.

My wife refers to them as "hooker" lights. She says they resemble the mood of a strip club!

Advanced or autozone has them. I used them in my new edge. I wired them into my aftermarket amp and they lasted about a year. To get them to pulse simply plug them into the speaker wire. For a sub that's easy. But idk about regular speakers

eBay is cheapest but autozone has lights that pulse to the music or just stay on and they can plug into your cig. Outlet . Or you could wore them to a speaker or amp like the guy above

You can get the control box that does that for like 15 on eBay plus 5 for like 5 led strips and autozone charges like 20 for one or two led strips

IMO, this is money that can be better spent on other worth while mods.

I think my brain would go into a seizure if I had pulsating LED lights in the interior!

I thought this was standard on the Mustangs (at least on the 2011's and up). Maybe it was part of the "premium package"? Here's how it works from the owners manual:

AMBIENT LIGHT
Turns the ambient lighting on or off. Ambient lighting provides accent
lighting in various locations such as footwell areas, cup holders and the
center console bin. The parking lamps/headlamps must be on to use
ambient lighting.
Press and hold RESET to turn the feature on or off.
AMBIENT DIM
Use this to adjust the brightness of the ambient lighting.
Press RESET to choose: low, medium, high or auto.
GAUGE COLOR, AMBIENT COLOR, HALO COLOR
GAUGE COLOR: The instrument cluster gauges are backlit with white
backlighting when the headlamps are off. When the headlamps are on,
you can select one of the preset colors for the nighttime gauge
backlighting or create up to three custom colors using the MyColor
feature.
Note: A gauge in a warning condition will be lit red when the headlamps
are on.
AMBIENT COLOR: You can select one of the preset colors for ambient
lighting or create up to three custom colors using the MyColor feature.
HALO COLOR: You can select one of the preset colors for halo lighting
or create up to three custom colors using the MyColor feature.
Note: Headlamps or parking lamps must be on to set up colors.
To choose colors for the gauges, halo color or ambient lighting do the
following:
1. Press SETUP to reach the GAUGE COLOR, AMBIENT COLOR, or
HALO COLOR menu.
2. Press RESET to scroll through the following color options:
•ICE BLUE •BLUE
•WHITE •ORANGE
•GREEN •RED
•PURPLE •MYCOLOR 1, 2, 3 (See HOLD
RESET TO SET MY COLOR 1, 2,
3 following to save personalized
color combinations)
HOLD RESET TO SET MYCOLOR 1, 2, 3 (Saving your own colors)
Apart from the preset colors, you can create your own color by adjusting
the levels of the three primary colors (red, green, and blue) through the
MyColor feature to achieve any of 125 different combinations. You can
save up to three custom colors in MyColor.
To enter the MyColor adjust mode, do the following (vehicle must be
stationary):
1. Press and hold RESET for three seconds at the MyColor 1, 2 or 3
menu option to reach the MyColor adjust mode.
2. Press SETUP to scroll through the R (red), G (green), B (blue) and
Exit options.
3. Press RESET to blend in more of the color being adjusted.
4. To save and exit, hold RESET for three seconds when prompted.
Pressing RESET for less than three seconds will cycle back through the
colors.

That only comes with the premium models, not on the base models.

The Ford interior mycolor lights are OK at best in my opinion. An aftermarket Neon / LED kit would produce much more light than what Ford sends you home with in the Premium. It looks nice, but it's not as bright as I would have liked, its kind of dim.

Agreed! That is why I started a thread a while back asking if anybody knows if the MyColor lights can be added on too...

I got my lights from ledglow.com and I love them! I got the mini smd led light kit and it gave the perfect amount of light for the foot wells both front and rear for only 50$. You can wire them to turn on with your headlights or just use the remote control. They have a ton of colors and modes including strobe and music modes. Personally I just keep them a solid color. The lights are super durable and much better quality than the ones at auto zone that I previously had.

Yes it does! The lights hook to each other with a mini usb cable up to a control box. The control box has a power wire and ground wire. You connect the power wire to your battery or to your headlight fuse (you can buy the adapter off their website for 5$) and I connected the ground to a bolt in my engine bay. I am 18 with absolutely no experience in anything electrical and it was super easy even for me
