Maybe I'm crazy but I think O/R mids and LT's sound like crap on our cars. Want to hear some catted mid-pipes with stock headers or maybe even shorties. Think our cars sound better with a smoother sound not a raspy one trying to be aggressive. Magnaflow ftw, haven't heard anything near as good. Everyone has different taste though!

Here's a video of the BBK LT headers, BBK Offroad X-pipe, and Pype Bomb axlebacks. I personally love the way it sounds.

I have seen a couple vids with that setup. Both with BBK and O/R x. Wasn't fond of it. Needs cats and probably resonators imo. Vids don't always do justice though. Thought mine came out ok though but still didn't capture the loudness.

Not bad, but why does everyone have to put the camera right next to the exhaust?? Annoys me... Move it farther away!!!

+1

I will not get headers unless I put some really big resonators on there. I do not like the raspy tin can sound.

No need to yell..
Quality.. It's well known Pypes brand lacks quality comparatively speaking.
Example, Borla and Bassani both cost more then about all other brands.. Quality.

Even Borla isn't that expensive tho? I honestly can't see why it should cost 1300+ for headers for our 3.7L's

We were talking about the headers tho not the mufflers but I understand ur muffler example.

At the most I would pay 1k and that's if I had went with Borla. I went with BBK because at the time they were the only company that offered a Catted Mid pipe.

Simple, they will never sell enough of them to make the price come down. Supply and demand. There will never be the overwhelming demand for them like Fox body parts, which are a dime a dozen.

True, true. But if I were that company I would personally keep it competitive and look at BBK and Borla's prices and try and stay within their range. Because profit wise they will force the customers to look elsewhere due to the fact that other companies are 3-7 hundred dollars off. Even Borla which is a very well respected company that's based on quality lists it's headers for 1K give or take a few bucks. Everyone's different and are loyal to certain brands so they may want to go with the much more expensive parts due to just the brand name.

Ppl who will spend a grand on a set of headers will not be deterred by another couple hundred bucks to have the 'name brand' they want or to complete a matching system.

Anyone who pays more then $300 bucks for headers, needs an evaluation in my book any way.. But that's the 'cost of doing business' for the consumer as they say.. Gotta pay to play..
Idk any other way to explain it.. With that I'm done on this thread.. Enjoy.

Just turn up the heater in the car man! And go to a large parking lot! The most a cop can do there is make u leave because it's private property
