Bama 89 or 90 street/performance tune

I am ordering my bama tuner and was wondering if the 90 octane (referred to as "premium" gas)tune is worth the higher gas price for every day driving over the 87 octane (known as "plus"). I have a sunoco that sells 93 ultra so thats going to be my race tune but i want the same octane for street/performance so i can swap without worrying about what octane is in the tank.

opinions appreciated

If your an auto I would also like to know if you eliminated "skip shift" and what you think.

Get an 87 and 93 street tune, and the 93 race tune, honestly you'll probably get better mileage on a more efficient "race" tune than a street tune, mine was that way

Sounds good, I know I want to keep at least one of the tunes on 87 or 90 so I dont have to search for a 93 gas station every time I fill up. I will give this a try and go from there.

Its AM's most aggressive tune. The hybrid takes the DNA of the street tune and the race tune combined. It gives you the most power down low with torque, power in the mid range and continues on up to high range. Its awesome! I love the shift points and the throttle response AM puts on the tune. Don't get me wrong, I like the performance tune as well but after installing the 91 Hybrid tune on my 2011 That's my new favorite. The 11 plus sixers could use some more power down low and the Hybrid helps out big time . It ain't no 5.0 but it will still rock out on the V6.

Bro, you got to get it. You won't regret.

Rebeltx,

I've always run 93 in my Mustang, regardless if it's stock or tuned. You'll see the best gas mileage and power gains with 93 Octane, for .10 - .15 cents more a gallon, it's definitely worth it IMO. However you can definitely run a lower octane tune if you'd like, that's the beauty of Free Tunes for Life. Just let us know and will gladly hook you up!

I see you're interested in the Hybrid tune as well, We can also hook you up with that. Kona Blue nailed the description, it's basically the best Characteristics of the Street and Race tune combined! This will give you low end grunt and the Race tune's top end.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions or need some assistance. Our Bama Performance tuning specialists are here in the building Monday-Friday from 9AM-5:30PM EST and Saturday 9AM-5:30PM EST. You can hit them up directly at 888.226.9764 and they'll get you squared away!

-Dan

My tuner is in the mail and should be here in the next day or two so I will have to play with the different tunes when it get's here. I always run 91 since I can find it easily, 93 takes a bit more searching around and Im dont want to get in a pinch looking for gas. The hybrid sounds sweet, I will have to give it a try once I decide if I want to keep the performance or street tune then I will do a hybrid and race.

thanks for the input

Rebeltx,

Awesome! I'm looking forward to you receiving your Bama Tuner and Loading up your Custom tune. 91 is a great choice as well, if that's what is most common in your area, then stick with that!

Let me know how you like your tune and feel free to hit me up with any questions!

-Dan
