If the Mustang hadn't change its tail lights for '13, I wouldn't be here. The '13 front end I prefer to the base v6 of the '10-12... but the GT fronts from those years can be amazing.

What do I know though? I'm probably going to end up doing a GT500 bumper swap anyway.

Why do you say that? I'm planning to turbo this car and always looking for more information as I plan the set up.

Stock internals have a limit .. They are rated to a certain amount of pressure and power. Once you exceed 8lbs/psi you will run into serious problems if your crank and pistons can't handle it

I think we'd have issues with detonation before we got to the point the block couldn't handle it, so long as we use pump gas.

If you're having those issues, you'll have ignition issues way before...

Monkey --is all that from experience or from theory? I ran 12 lbs on my 4.0 with no issues, but it would be nice to know what the limit is on the 3.7 for sure.

Experience bro... But the psi is not the problem its the amount of power per lb .. Those 12lbs got you 300-350???

The only turbo kit out so far is from Hellion. There was an article in 5.0 last month.

I don't like where they located the turbo. For a daily driver putting it in the fender well isn't ideal, not a problem for a primarily track car but I don't like it for a primarily street car and weekend track car. Plus the turbo is mounted low and requires a scavenger pump. That means one spot for failure and causing problems.

C-F-M has been working on a kit but the ETA has been pushed out again.

I don't see why they didn't flip the manifolds, place it where the stock airbox is (huge open area), merge them right at the turbo and dump it running along the bottom of the engine toward where the factor exhaust flows.

It seems like they went to a lot of work to make it super complicated.

Your right ...it completely slipped my mind. But for the obvious reason!! Its not practical or ideal to work on. Plus the possible failure increase from scavenger pumps

I think its because of piping. The 90° bend to reach the intercooler might.cause problems so close to the manifold

For me, I'll just go the route of the GT when I want more HP over my current V6. Waiting on the 2015's....
I want a link to this!!!

Hellion has always been overpriced and more than the Procharger. Go procharger or wait for CFM.

Ugh... I've so got to try to put a roots blower on one of these cars just for the heck of it.

The price, the route of the exhaust, the placement of the turbo. It works, it's just not ideal.

Didn't someone do that with an m90? It got expensive when they needed to custom fab an adaptor plate. I read that somewhere.

Not for a hellion, as in anything but a hellion, or way too expensive.

I just didn't think it was that bad.
