So on my way back from volunteering it decided to snow the night before the weather forcast said. they didn't lay down the salt yet so i was going below 20 miles an hour. car going the other direction lost control coming at the car in front of me doing a 360. both the car in front of me and i were able to avoid it, but i wasn't able to avoid the car in front of me. i cliped her back right tail light. my bumper is cracked and i probably need to replace only the bumper. guess it could have been worse, but it's gonna cost me as much for the insurance as if i had to replace the whole engine. not a happy camper..
any suggestions on buying the bumper for my NEW 2013 v6 performance package that i've had for a whopping 3 months...F me...
Junk yard brother. these cars are new enough that junk yard parts are able to be found in good condition. You could probably find even find one painted the correct color. you can look for salvage yards. You might be thinking it will be hard to find a scraped 2013 mustang but it's not. kids are smashing these things left and right. at least they are around here in FL. I know of a place with 3 or 4 newer mustangs sitting in there yard with the front end torn off.
Glad your not hurt.Sorry, about the accident.Winter is really hitting hard this year.If you need to replace the bumper, maybe you might want to replace it with an aftermarket one. From what I have read, removing it is not that hard.
Thanks. Yeah im ok. Was driving super careful cause We passed an accident right before mine. And we saw cars slipping and sliding all over the Place. Where to buy the aftermarket ones? Maybe I can mod it to look nicer while I'm at it. American muscle didn't have any. Any suggestions?
I'm seeing tons of front bumper take offs on ebay. Go to ebay motors, search on "20xx (xx= your year) mustang used" in parts and accessories. These are boneyard take-offs, and some even offer free shipping. You may even find your color. Prices vary from perfect condition to scratched and in need of paint.
Maybe nows the time to change to a GT front bumper cover; plenty more grills and lower spoilers to choose from aftermarket wise.
yeah, did a search for 2013. it's probably different than the 2011-2012, right? i wonder how easy it is to do yourself. it's so freakin cold here in Jersey...i gotta move down south again. 2 months out of the year of this bs is too much...but i Love NYC... :\
+1 on the Roush take offs....
and good luck on that GT500 bumper sanguin...
I just wanted the new 13 roush foglight treatment....BUT, instead of selling you the ready made fascia...you have to cut and mount the foglight bezels yourself......errr
not feeling brave enough for that....
Oh well, still have a RTR chin spoiler to install.....
You're a '13 right? If so, we have the same profile hood as the GT500 now. You'll need new grills, fogs, and lower spoiler/belly pan, but I have yet to see why it doesn't work. All the '10-12 guys had to do was swap hoods besides the stuff mentioned.
ok. cool. maybe i'll do that. does the GT500's bumper look better?
Also, i was driving around and noticed a little squeek in the front right supension when i hit a big bump. if the bump isn't big it doesnt squeek. i guess i gotta take it to a shop to take a look at as well. this sucks. any my deductible is 1500 bucks so it's pretty much coming out of my pocket anyways...
Holy **** that's a big deductible. I have $500 on mine and I'm going down to a $250. It only costs me $3 more a month to reduce my deductible, way worth it.
GT500 bumpers are slightly more aggressive and have normal, circular fog lamps housings.
SIGH...WOULD LOVE TO UPGRADE TO THAT BUMPER....
BUT...if local body shop is one hair off (like my mirrors and scoops) it will look off key...
Still want the roush fogs...but checking saleen and other companies for a factory takeoff bumper already in GHIG to cut that one...not mine (i'll save and store in my buddies hanger..LOL

Any mods I can do to the front end besides gt500? Not sure if I'm feeling the gt500 grill. What's that piece underneath the bumper called? Splitter or something? I was also gonna put on the sr lowering springs from AM. But I have the 2013 performance package already so I'm not sure if its worth it. Any other mod suggestions. I see the billet grill but it looks plasticky. I think I'm gonna add fog lights as well. What do u guys think?
