I currently have 2:73 gears and they $uck. I figure 3:55 will be a worlds difference. I'm not interested in track racing so 4:10 is not where I want to be. The car only has 20k miles and the tire tread is good till like 70k. I'm not planing on getting new tires any time soon so I think 3:73 gears may be too much gear for dead stop acceleration and not spinning the tires. How much slower acceleration could there be with 3:55 instead of 3;73. Is the acceleration noticeable in the sense of being thrown back in the seat more?

Also looking for best gear when it comes to faster acceleration when merging and already in motion a few MPH.
