Roush did not offer it in 2011. Started the RS v6 series in 2013.

You can still send it to them for the 4k price tag.

I feel ya. I am real happy with my pony. I certainly would of loved a 5.0 but I could not convince my brain it was worth 7,500 more for a bare bones base model. Ford really needs to bring down that GT price.

... or make the base GT have sync and some of the pp appointments. Maybe no leather but track apps and sync standard on the GT or something...

I have a love hate with the rear spoiler too. From certain angles I dont like it. I am not a spoiler fan anyway though. I like a cleaner look with a bare trunk lid. The rest of it I love. If you can do without the fake hood scoop, rs decals around the car and wheels then you can build the rest from parts ordered on stage3motorsports for around a third of the price though minus the stripe kit. They sell knock off stripes and decklid decal on ebay though or you could go measure them and take pics and a local sign shop could do them in vinyl.

see that was my issue. The premium got the 4.2 lcd and track apps, sync, my color, and the packages I added got me the spoiler, 19" rims, leather and a few other frills. I agree, IF the GT had all but the leather, 19"s..I might have gone that route...but after driving the V6 (firend's mustangs and test drives, 1 rental car for a weekend) that was where my money was going.

I went from a GT to a sixxer lol. Took a few rides in both and realized the sixxer was enough for me. I only miss the growl. I saved the money and will by a track dedicated car. Best of both worlds for me. In a year prices on all mustangs prior to the new model will slowly drop. In two years deal will be had on clean used v6 rs cars and s/c v8 cars if u can wait it out. Just playing devil's advocate.. lol

So yesterday I got contacted by RTR and they told e that their exhaust will now be available for the v6 starting next week! Now I'm in a conundrum do i stay with the Roush set up even if I can't get it certified or do I do the RTR!?

If I won the lottery, this would be my daily driver. Except, I would pull the supercharged 8 and put in a twin turbo six. Nothing like 500+ hp and 40 mpg lol

If this was true then I would have a gt in my garage. I wanted the creature comforts of the premium and it is my dd so the decent mpg either way was cool. But the leather and sync etc was what I was looking for and the base gt was kind of eh but it has the v8 but none of the other upgrades. And the only car that they had anywhere close to me was a 2013 gt with ugly rims for 38k. Sticker to sticker was 8k difference or about $900/10hp. Could have gotten 1.9% on it but I went with the 6.

This car has more hp and is nicer than any car I've had so far and I still love it.

I only regret getting black as it is a pain to keep clean.

IMO I like the rtr over roush

Same here.. I wasn't looking forward to getting into a basic car that i wasn't in love when i opened the door. Sure i love the 5.0 but the v6 was fully loaded. And am glad i went with white my wife wanted black and i said NO lol

I agree RTR > Roush, but not for the price. The carbon fiber RTR is 150k.

Loaded RS3 is less than half.

Looking at individual prices is even worse...its crazy expensive. (In my opinion)

+1. Could of had the grabber blue 5.0 base or a v6 base or a loaded white. It's obvious why I went with. Plus the 5.0 was a 2011 and they were buggy.
