You should check and find out if Roush will certify your car as being a Roush Mustang. Otherwise you wont be able to sell it as a Certified Roush car. Someone else posted a thread earlier about this.

They won't unless you pay them to convert your car. Also, they have one lower grill they do not sell to the public. It's open with no fins covering it. You can't get it aftermarket and may not ever be able to.

I would definitely pay them to convert it. My ford dealer is a certified Roush dealer so im able to get parts that roush doesnt sell to the pubkic. I really would love them to certify it. I wonder what it would take

Am planning on going for it too but not too sure.and yea they won't certify it unless they do it even if you can get the parts since it won't be done by roush technicians. And my question to you is where are you getting a pro charger for a 2013???

Procharger is coming out with a new kit for the 13's. I dont think the older kit will work with the 13.

The grill I see them releasing has horizontal ribs and the cuts behind it is scalloped. It's not like the open ones on their Stage 2 and Stage 3 cars they sell.

What is the cost in converting the car over by Roush. What do you get with the conversation?

The basic conversion is $4k. It's all cosmetic except for lowering springs (just springs, no sway bars or dampeners) and performance 19x9 wheel and tire combo.

Basic is 4 k, and what is the upgraded from basic cost. And what do you get. Is there a web site to look up the conversion prices?

2013 ROUSH RS Mustang - Components

Very, very basic. Grills, splitters, Roush badges and decals, spoiler, floormats, pedals, springs, and wheels.

That said...

"The Lower Grille is expected to available in Feb. The lower high flow opening is not being offered retail only for our production Mustangs."

The 4000 they are talking about adds rims tires and leather seats from roush. Im not doing any of that. I am adding the exhaust and CAI from roush instead. So probably around 3k

The $4k does NOT include leather seats. That's an additional $1195 option.

It also includes roush mufflers and a few roush logoed items on the interior as well but basic mods for the 4k. If u like the look and it has to be a serialized official Roush and you arent interested in the power of the 5.0 then the RS is a good option.

If I'm reading it correct, the conversion is only for the RS Roush and no other model Roush.

So with a pro charger supercharger and the Roush kit one is looking between 9 to 10k. Not bad especially if one paid around 23k for their v6. Total is 33k and car will have 475 HP and be a Roush stang.

If they were on the lots when I bought my car I would have probably bought one. I like the look of the Roush and the Brembos so it would have been a win for me. If you piece it together yourself with paint it would not save you much.

From what I have read on forums most would rather put the money into performamce mods though or just get the base 5.0 so I dont know how well these are selling. Might find a great deal on a RS if that is the case.

Let me ask you this question. If one spends 4 k on the Roush RS body kit and let's say you get into a accident. Does the insurance company pay for your Roush parts to be replaced or are you ***** out of luck. What is covered under ones insurance to be replaced. I would think the insurance company would only pay for your stock parts to be replaced.

You have to let your insurance know of the extra expenses and its up ti them if they will cover it or not. Some just charge a lil more. I've been covered for some parts but not others

Its so rediculous as well but I guess the ratio of accidents with the 8 is that much higher than the 6
