HP and Torque for Headers

In the upcoming months I will be having BBK headers and off road X pipe installed on my 11 V6. Approximately what type of HP and torgue increase numbers should one get with this type of mod. Just looking for idea on what to expect for numbers to the wheels.

I gained between 30-35HP from my headers and xpipe and that's with my other mods to compliment the headers n xpipe so if u have a stock mustang then u will see less gains

Kinda sad to see a lot of money for not a lot in return, but you'll have better flow and less restrictions soo it kinda works itself out

I have a Flowmaster Axle back Force II exhaust system, CAI and running 91 Hybrid tune. No idea what kind of HP and torque numbers they added on.

Well the v6 runs only 240-280 at the wheels. Since it is a v6 the gains are harder to get than our v8 counter parts. You think 10 hp is not alot but when you add the headers and tune it to run correctly, my God at the power. I've heard you lose low end which is what these cars desperately need.

Better gearing solves the problem
What?! who said that?

Yeah, maybe slight low end loss but your mid to high range will make up for the low end loss. Your mid to high range power will be increased greatly and make up the loss time from the low end. With better gearing like 3:55 or 3:73 gears that's gonna make your low end rock and with the headers and x pipe the mid and high range will rock..

If you have auto you'll feel that horrible lag. I'm thinking 3.73 or 3.55 depending on what driving I do. It's mainly highway now but that near stalling feeling in the drive train is beginning to scare me. My car already screams bloody murder lol

I have 3.73 gears on my 2012 auto. I can feel that I'm down on power at the lower RPM's now and will need to do some other mods to counter that. First will be an aluminum drive shaft so I can launch hard without worry. Most people say build a turbo next but I'm thinking I will put some work into my motor.I just can't find anyone who has been doing internal work on the 3.7 yet.

Do you have a performance tuner? I can't believe you can't launch hard with having 3:73 gears with the 12 v6. Clearly its not going to be a 5.0 launch but still with our stock HP and torque plus 3:73 gears you should be able to launch hard and down low power should be greatly improved.

I launch pretty darn hard with my 3.73 gears and hybrid tune.

Come to a stop sign but don't stop completely. Slightly get on the gas for normal/Eco driving. It'll lunge and the rpm will shoot up some then go. It's a gearing or driveshaft problem.

If you do this and give it has for 2-3,000 rpm it won't do it btw. So when I start out I usually do that

Mine no longer does that with the performance tuner. I know what your talking about. At least my 11 was designed in order to save fuel the car would skip gears in the automatics. The car would go from 1 to 3 or 4th gear for fuel economy. That was how Ford has the car set up. The car would lunge forward, rpm shoot up when slightly acceleration. The tuner changes that with eliminating the slip skip transmission . AM explained it to me when I had same complaint. Get performance tuner.
