Rev Limiter

Anyone know how to disable a Rev Limiter on a 2010 V6 Mustang? It only revs up to 4000 RPM.

I'm not familiar with that tuner but you should be able to raise your rev limiter if you don't have a manual you can find one on line

He is talking about my key. Get the spare key and put it in the ignition. Then scroll through setup and clear the my key settings. Did this on mine, I used it to signal me wen I hit 55. Now its just annoying so I took it off

I can hit past 55 no problem, it's just I'm not allowed to rev above 4,000 RPM in neutral/park.

Just wondering why would you want to rev over 4000 in park?

How stout are those 2010 V6's? may be a reason why they are limited to 4000 RPM.

No I mean it beeps at me telling me I'm over 55. Is your speed limited to 85 as well? Buddy with a focus has the same problem

Revving the 4.0 past 4000 while stationary could hurt the valve train, the reason Ford did it.

Unless you are going full out drag slicks and high rpm launches but theres no need to it and hey its happen to me when I miss a gear before I got use to the shifter my engine would rev all the way to 6 or 7 by accident it aint a pretty feeling in the gut lol...

This seems like a really good idea if you want to break something.
