I figure its just more to break and if I want navigation or touch screen I know that I am plenty capable of putting one in.

Anyways, I was looking at mustang, tested a few GT's and then saw this black 2012 sitting at the back of the used lot. I could tell the dealer didn't want me to see it because I would have bought a new car. Car had just been traded that day with 21K on it. After some cash wavering and some walking away I was able to get the price down to $17,950 with factory warranty... That was just too good to pass up
Nice!

The tires on the performance package are zrated also. Someone told me that driving the basic v6 vs the PP v6 is a "completely different car". I have only driven the PP, and not the basic, but from what I have heard from people who have driven both, is that the PP adds a huge performance boost that is definitely noticeable.

I drove one of each from the 2012 model year....liked the feel and handling of the PP better...ordered that for my 2013. less brake dust with the ceramic pads it comes with too

I drove them all and maybe it's just me but the pp seemed stiffer. Drove on mountain road and not much difference. Might have been if Ipushed it harder then I might have seen some handling difference. After 30 years of driving manuals I bought a base model automatic with 3:31 gears. No difference performance wise in a quarter mile and not that far off the 2010 GT. although on the low end you could feel the torque difference on the GT.

Going by G-Tech I was pushing 1G (.98) with my lowered 2010 that had Vogtland Spring and SRT.T Koni's, with the built in G meter in my 13 I am flirting with 1.2 G's on the same road. With less body roll and it does not feel as loose in the rear coming out of corners, even with more HP. A lot of extra traction I will say is the tires, but the Performance Package still does better in the stock form than my Modified 2010.
