Advancetrac sport mode

Tonight a friend told me there is a sport mode. Hit the traction control button twice to activate. Does the screen indicate whether it is normal vs sport mode. I got the advancetrac on in the dash screen is that the sport mode?

I'm not sure if its the same with the V6's but my GT has Advanctrac and traction control. Press the button once and traction control turns off. Press and hold the button while holding down to foot brake for 6 seconds turns off the Advancetrac. Which way is sport mode? I have no idea. Lol

Sport mode is referring to the feel at the steering wheel.
You change that by going to the menu of options in the same area as your gauge and track apps.

Click the TC button twice in a row (quickly, but not too quickly) with the brake pedal depressed for Sport mode. Can even do it while driving which is nice if you see a potential trouble spot ahead.

If all else fails, read the owners manual.

Page 209 of my 2011 owners manual talks all about it.

Missed the pressing brake pedal part. Manual was in another location. Having some snowfall. Will test out sport mode on some fresh powder tonight.

Go here and download a free PDF copy. If you have an iphone, pad, or whatever, you'll always have one handy, or at the internet :

Thanks for that link! The sport mode does come up as advancetrac sport mode. Only spun it a little bit snow didn't last, too much salt in the parking lot.

Yep. That could be a "no shorts" day. Don't fret though; tomorrow we are supposed to be back to the high 70's, low 80's again.

Supposed to get four inches of snow tomorrow. Drifting fun😀 I actually enjoy the cold. It kills whatever aggravates my allergies/asthma. Finally been able to breathe through my nose for a couple of weeks now.

From the owners manual:

AdvanceTrac Sport Mode (if equipped)
The AdvanceTrac system provides an available sport mode on some
models. This can be selected utilizing the stability off button as shown in
the table above.
Sport mode is not intended for use on public roadways as this mode
provides less AdvanceTrac system intervention than when the default
ESC and traction control systems are on. Sport mode will allow more
spirited driving
while the AdvanceTrac system is still enabled.

That's exactly correct. An even sportier mode is to turn off traction control and advance track completely.
It doesn't get any sportier than that. Ford will tell you it's not intended for use on public roadways.
Oh but wait the 65 Mustang didn't have traction control or advance track. I guess you can't drive them on the highway
Any longer. lol

I guess they'd really have a fit if I put it In hill assist thereby turning off over drive.
