Just to be different . . . from what I understand its cheaper to have a shop make you a custom mid pipe, so I figured I might as well..I heard its a little deeper than Xpipe due to less cross-flow.

If I cant find a shop to make me a custom one, I'm just going to buy an O/R Xpipe and have a welder throw in cats/resonators, that sound reasonable?

I gotcha I was just curious because h pipes make less power it does sound a little different but it isn't very noticeable. Custom x pipe would probably be better, you for sure want cats though if you don't it does sound cheap and raspy to me. Or just obnoxious, but everyone has their opinion!

They test emissions in jersey, and Im not swapping mid pipes everytime I need to go for inspection. So cats are definitely IN, i read the power was almost negligible between the two.

I guess I'll go X, I dont really care either way. I have other stuff to buy before then anyway, June probably has tune/3.73s in store, so that will be fun.

I was in the same spot. In Texas they just look to see if you have cats it is dumb. But then I heard my car without cats and I decided to keep them anyways. A tune and gears is for sure a big step up. I got 3.55s though cause I still wanted the top end. You will love the combo though it is great!

Power difference is negligible. I have an O/R hpipe on mine. They dynoed the x and h on the same car at the same time and put down the same #'s.

Have you heard alrefire's? There is a huge difference sir, the x will sound tinny. The H will be deep but will still rasp here and there

Yea but the set up changes everything. My x is loud... if someone had an h pipe that was louder I'd give them props.

So, black pypes supposed to be here at end of day Friday. Did y'all have to sign for them?

Since the last update, how have they broken in and how can we line them up? Mid pipe adjustment?
