Ok before I order these black pypes, I wanna know if any of you running them have any lag or such as a true straight pipe would. Mine had this weird lag where it took more throttle to move the car due to less back pressure. Do the pypes keep some back pressure?

It's basically a straight pipe, so there probably isn't much back pressure!

I didn't notice a difference. I feel my shifts are more precise now since I can hear things a lot better. I downshift a lot now. I've put about 150kms since the install and my car seems to pull the same as it did before. I didn't drive my stang all winter so maybe im not noticing? The drone is insane at 2500 when accellerating otherwise its tolerable.

Yes I own them I mean there was never a lag in my car so I don't know what your referring to. But my performance went up and they sound great

Yeah my car feels faster but I think its just the rumble that makes it feel that way....I think my driving pleasure doubled from this mod. Glad I did it.

Undo your stock mufflers and ride around. You'll notice it wants to spool to 3,000 just to move up to 20 mph. It's because of back pressure loss. Was wondering if these made it lose any or not.

I know what you are talking about....the muffler fell off on my SUV once and I got that weird feeling every time I stepped on it...no power until a certain point and it seemed to hesitate when I lifted....did not experience any of this feeling in the mustang

No. Just when I got on it it hesitated like alot more due to the loss in pressure

I love my pypes, they feel like they haven't lost much back pressure and I know the resonator tips have nothing to do with it lol but I don't feel a difference.

$289 for me. Original price on the chrome is $289. That's what I meant. But yeah I would rather bolt up a resonator and straight pipe than weld one in. It's illegal in AL to run straight pipe but no one enforces it unless you get actually pulled over for something else.

The Borla S is supposed to sound amazing but its the cost of an axle + mid pipe. No thanks lol. I will be plenty happy with the pypes aggression if I can install them in this lifetime.

+1 I don't have the money for that, that's why I'm in my 3.7 and not a 5.0 lol

Same here plus pypes going along with the sound I'm after. Im not reaching for a deep throaty v8 sound I just want a badass, aggressive, mean sounding car. Pypes get me one step closer, and cai/tune next.

Same here. My car looks like a race car. And straight pipe gave me problems. This is the next best thing. Plus they are black chrome. I want that snarl. No matter the engine type. It just turns head at start up or cruising.

Wow these are insane lmao. Sound so badass WOT. At 2500rpm they are brutal drone-wise though. Anything under or over sounds fine. This is my first car over like 220hp and first exhaust system, so its safe to say I'm "adjusting" slowly haha

Everyone says they drone at 2,500. I cruise at 2. Does this technically mean, no drone?

Has anyone welded in some resonators to just the pype bomb's?? I'm wondering if that would kill the drone? Because from what I hear it kills the drone from headers/x pipe right & imagine headers/x pipe create more drone than these!?

That's what I'm thinking, I'm never constantly at 2500 RPM because I shift before then under light acceleration, and go right through it with WOT.
