Annoying shift issue in Sport Shift mode...

in general, sportshift is annoying. I like it when I want to click the button for up & down but thats shortlived. However, I do like the semi tighter shifts it produces when I put it in S without using the thumb switch.

However, I notice that if I am in S and I go to get around a slowpoke and stab the throttle for a short period of time to just get a burst of speed after I let off it will just hang there (high revved in 2nd or 3rd depending on the situation) until I either kick the throttle again or bump it to D.

Anyone else notice this?

Yes. I have the same problem. One of the reasons why I got a tuner.

that happens in most car with Sport mode. automatics do it all the time really it'll give you a second where it stays in a lower gear. sport just tells it **** gas milage shift later

Yes, but to me this is actually a Feature, not a bug...I like it to hang there as it give me an extra ms or so to get the next pass. And I know now like a muscle memory how to tap the throttle to drop it back. Work with it, learn it it will work for you if you want it to.

like artu said i don't mean at shift. it's doing its thing hanging there although its annoying its for spirited driving where you might let off the gas but you don't want to have it shift up then back down so it waits. unless you mean it hangs there forever then idrk but my old car was automatic and did the same thing it was kind of annoying but practical

Work with it, it becomes a tactical second nature, learn to tap, or even double tap
