Smoothline Hardtop

Has anyone tried the smoothline hardtop on a 2010+ vert mustang? I love my vert top in the spring/summer but hate it in the winter. I also wanted to get some Louvers for my quarter window and getting this hard top would make the appearance of my car much nicer. I have a 2011 Mustang V6. I just got my matte black deck lid panel and the side scoops for my car. I'm a big fan of quarter window louvers and would love to have them on my car. This hardtop goes for about 1,800. I just haven't seen a 2010+ model with it on and before deciding on ordering it I want to see if it looks good or not.

I would really recommend not buying this top unless you are living in California where it does not rain. I purchased a top from them for my mustang and I can not keep the rain out of the car because the top is mis-contoured to the header. Smoothline insist that it is Fords building tolerances that are bad and the ONLY support Smoothline offered me was the advise that I will need to take it to a “leak detective”. This I did. However, he told me it would cost up to $2,400 to fix the brand new top, but he wouldn’t warranty the work and that in any case, since the fit was soooo bad- he wouldn’t touch the job anyway. It cost me $2,500 for my top, a couple of extras and shipping- and now it is sitting in the space in my garage where my car should be. A total white elephant. Don’t expect any after sales support- you are on your own. Visit smoothline hardtops on facebook.

I say don't do it. Some people a trying to sue them due to product being a month behind or lost the product. Sounds cool but not this company. To shady.

Darn. Alright. Thanks. You guys know of any other alternative? I want to get rid of my convertible top and make it a hardtop.

Did my research and there isn't any other companies that make something like this. Even on other mustang forums they have leak problems and won't accept any returns. Poorly made and pay just as much for shipping!

I would say if you truly don't want the soft top no more is to trade it in and get a hardtop.

Yeah, that is an option but I've put so much money into my car already. Lol
