I saw the same thing as you - and relying on the NMU to accurately read WOT is at your peril. Same thing happened to a friend of mine, only it was too late to save his engine. The drive by wire has been around on the S197 since 2005 and the Zex NMU as long as well - things haven't changed that much.

And when mine fired off at only 1,500 rpm I saw the same thing. Sudden shoot up in the rpm's just as if I had floored it and let the nitrous engage. Jumped me through the beams but I was able to lift quick enough to avoid damage.

Your car and your engine. I would put the window switch on that Zex sells just to be sure though.

Is nos bad for the motor?

What's the cons ?
I know the pros lol, go fast and looks cool but I haven't had any experience with nos in any cars iv messed with.
And you guys said they make a kit for our car ?
Will I need a tuner first ? Ill have one when the time
Comes I'm sure just wondering if its necessary?
Thanks

first off it's nitrous not nos...nos is a brand. research is your friend here you can check out kits at Zex's and Nos's website

cons depending on how you install a kit can include damage of the engine among other things. of course things like an oversized shot can also cause issues so please keep that in mind. on a 99-04 model v6 your average shot is a 100, but past that it's best to work on the motor a bit first....i'd look on google and see on a mass search how the '11+ react since maybe 2-3 people on here have run a kit on one

Well it really does wear out your engine faster than a S/C or Turbo. It just puts stress on the engine.

ZEX does make a kit for our cars, idk about NOS or any other brand.

You need a tuner to tune the car for the nos or u will melt ur engine internally literally. As well as colder spark plugs but because no one makes them yet (NGK should be working on it) so i just check them and change them every other bottle fill up cuz ive only used one bottle so far and the new spark plugs are still ok
