Might be a stupid question

I'm thinking of getting a cai with a tune from American muscle just got a few concerns lol.
Will it pass inspection? I'm in Texas not sure if that makes a difference

I don't know exactly what your inspection is in Texas, however it should pass. You can also reset it to factory.

The only thing that would not allow ur car to pass is no mufflers or no cats

You shouldn't run into any issues. As long as you still have Cat's on the car, our Street and Performance tune will pass emissions!

Please let Myself or the Bama team know if you have any questions or need further assistance, we'd be glad to help! Our Bama Performance tuning specialists are here in the building Monday-Friday from 9AM-5:30PM EST and Saturday 9AM-5:30PM EST. You can hit them up directly at 888.226.9764 and they'll get you squared away!

I live'd in Houston TX for 20 years, your fine getting a CAI and a tune. I would load a stock or economy tune before going for testing though just to be safe. I had a 93 fox with cats but no muffler and never had a problem with inspection, they just need you to pass emissions really, most wont care about mufflers or any other mod. I had a 50 shot of nitrous on it at one point and the shop didn't even say anything about it.

Haha, I can just imagine the guy testing it being like "Welp, whatever, as long as it passes I guess. I don't remember seeing that in the pamphlet of items to look out for"

Some states read the emissions test in the OBD system, others do tailpipe sniffers, and some just make sure you don't have a CEL and you have a cat on the car. My state doesn't do anything. lol
