Pretty excited to start dipping when I get my car, seems like a safe way to have fun and get my feet wet in the mod world.
Its gonna be fun. And best part if you dont like it you can just peel.just make sure theres no wind and warm enough to spray. Also cover large areas that are not being sprayed

How does this hold up? Should I do this or get the vinyl from AM to do my rear tail lights?

Don't buy them off AM. They are nothing more that 10% window tint. Just buy the blackout spray and do it right. I wish I had done that and saved 100$

Do you find the blackout spray looks as good? I was looking at the smoked taillight/headlight covers, markers, etc. but I'm sure the plasti dip would be cheaper. I just dont want to go the cheap route if it LOOKS cheap.

All of my car is done with the spray. It looks shinny and smooth like factory if done right. It looks more professional that plastidip and it still comes off with paint thinner and it won't hurt your lights. Plus you can get it at any Walmart.

So I think tinting headlights is illegal in jersey, so it might just be tails/markers for me. Thats a shame lol oh well, the new ponies have awesome headlights stock anyway.

It's only illegal if your lights can't produce the output that it should.. If you have hid then it won't be a problem

It's illegal here too. I got some lightly smoked vinyl tint that is made for it. It's like 10$ shipping included off eBay. Here is the spay and ill put one of the light vinyls on tomorrow so you can see the difference. I like it. It looks factory and doesn't block very much light at all.

It alkaline depends on how stupid cops get cus really if your light shines through and tail lights show well lit then you should be fine
