I hear a lot about the brackets but I went and replaced the shifter with the Barton short shifter. Trust me I would recommend it to anyone. Seriously it's that good the best $260 I've ever spent. It totally changes the way our cars feel to drive. If you thought you had a sports car before just wait till you get the shifter.

I have the Barton two piece bracket.I love it as I have no slop
at all anymore.I paired this up with a SR short shifter and
when I shift from 2 to 3 it automatically wants to go into
the proper position where the shift gates are.

These are by far the best two mods I have done.I'm no
longer afraid of opening it up and missing a shift.

I guess I'm lucky.I switched to MTL fluid in the transmission
and I can shift all gears with one finger.

No,I never have trouble between 2 or 3 or any other gears.
I only have to be gentle when it is cold out until it warms up.
The bracket helps you to find the shift gates way easier.
