Smaller Rim Size

I'm wondering does any member know if
going to a smaller rim size is possible?
If it is, will it also lower the car without
changing springs?

If this is possible I'm thinking of going this route.

Well what size rim? And it depends on what tire you get, if it was lower it would look weird and like it had go cart tires

Keep the same rim size. Take your tire size down a size or two. That's what I wanted to do, but they ordered the wrong tires and I was depending on this new set to get me to a 500 mile road trip to the beach so I sucked it up and took them. Needless to say, my car is higher feeling but still low.

Anything below the base 17" will look goofy, but rednecks will honor you cause of the small rim, big tire combo

by making the overall height of the tire smaller you would lower your car, but you will also increase the gap in the fender to tire area.

Lower the car correctly with springs or leave it as is. Dont mess with the wheel/tire ratio~

Brake calipers might touch the inside of rim if u go to small. The only advantage would be weight of rotational mass. Drag racers do it all the time. I would run 15's on my old car with a full slick / tall sidewall to get a better launch and reduce rotational mass. U would be better off lowering your car with the proper suspension mods than trying to do it with changing tire sizes or rims for street use though.

if your lowering your car then do springs. there cheaper than 4 tires anyhow. If your trying to fit more rubber under there and want performance then you can for a 15" on the rear if you relocate your sway bar. Thats what allot of guys are doing when they run the M/T ET Streets
