I realize this is kind of old, but I'm very glad to find this post. Roadkill was kicked up from under an SUV I was following and it hit the front bumper at about 60mph. Within a short distance I went to brake again which caused the front end to dip, and immediately caught the chin on the pavement, which broke/bent plastic back under the car. had to bungee cord it in place to make it home.... >_<...

though I'm glad it wasn't a curb, it still sucks! I am considering the idea of an upgrade though since I am in need of a replacement.

And for those who have a tough time pulling into a parking spot that has those concrete stops, you can purchase a device that installs under the chin spoiler, and beeps at you within 5 inches of the spoiler getting to the barrier. Pricey though at a couple hundred bucks; might be easier and cheaper to just back into the spot!

I've always made it a habit of backing into spaces, even before I bought mine

roadkill flying up at me in the dark... well, only so much planning can be done there
