Passenger Airbag Off light won't shut off

Hey everyone. I have a 2012 V6 and just recently I've noticed that the passenger air bag off light won't turn off which is located on the ceiling in between the two interior lights. Anyone else experience this issue or know how to fix it???? It's kind of frustrating and annoying because now everyone is asking why the light is on or the "hey did you know that the passenger airbag off light is on?" Thank you

It should only be on when a minimal weight is places in the passenger seat (like a small child).

If it happens when adults sit, the weight sensor is jacked. Take it to the dealership.

I think it might be the weight issue because I had a case of soda and something else in the passenger seat when the light came on. Now it's off. However once in awhile the light will come on along with the ETS off light and low traction light. Those only stay on for a minute until they shut off

If it's under warranty, I'd take it in for a free fix. Otherwise, it will fail again, and perhaps when the warranty is expired. Then it's replaced on your dime.
