Incredible it was even close imo considering the disparity in cost of cars. Nice work man

If you do gears and tune then you might be able to get away from him in the start but that 4 wheel drive he has gives him the upper hand. Lower control arms help with traction a good bit too
Wow omg really because last i checked that awd cars lack topend wouldn't you mean the other way around that the wrx would get him off the line but he will out run him upstairs with the stang.

13.0 sec. he did 12.8. and it makes your cai whistle a bit more i think. in terms of performance it's minimal. you need to port everything else to feel a real gain

Don't forget to put super clue on the tires to help for traction.

seriously, the mirrors off will reduce drag. Lol

OP, I tried to read through it, but I had to skip a lot of the comments...lol

My questions are, are you standard or auto?
Is he standard or auto?
What does "stage 2" mean?
Will he do a pre mod race?

At the strip, autos have an advantage. If he has a standard, then I would bet on you. If he is talking like that, I imagine he is overconfident/cocky, may not know how to launch an all wheel drive car. An auto will do it for him, a standard will be a challenge.

They say this is a known "FACT"

If you fill your tires with Helium it will make your car seem much lighter then it is. Just don't over fill them because you do not want the car to either float away or bounce down the track. It would be undetectable as a performance mod and only you would know what you did.

The only downside is you really need to not hole shot off the line due to lighter car less weight on the rear wheels equals less traction. You need to practice feathering it off the line and then punching it hard. The weight savings will more then make up for the feathering off the line.

After 60 feet that WRX won't know what past it sooooo fast.

Ronnie

You're sure it doesn't come as an auto? I know STis are six speed standards only.

Some older model WRX's came with a five-speed automatic, but it is rare.

Hi Mustangmo,
Could you give the price on the WRX system and how difficult is to install it.
I am an average mechanic , but I have never heard of the WRX,
My 03 mustang only has a larger throttle body a KN air induction and I added dual exhaust.
I want to add more pick-up, perhaps you can suggest something else.

Thank you very much,

Jorge
