surging RPM issue fixed - Mustang Evolution

So after data logs and different tuners my buddy has always had a surging problem (so did I but mpt and bamma tweaked my tunes to resolve some of the surging) well he bought coil packs cuz I told him to that it wouldnt hurt to have them and they would be good for his ignition since he is spraying nitrous. Well after we instalked them and started the car and let it idle a bit we noticed the car idle was smoother and as we began to rev the engine the rpms didnt drop drastically low. They have yet to fall below 600rpm. We tried so many ways to get the rpm to drop but now it literally wont.

We thought we would put his stock ones back on to verify it was the coil packs and sure enough it idled bad again. Once the accel ones were put in the idle was great!

So if you have a bad surging problem and have to have it fixed buy the coil packs.

Thanks Charlie. I've been talking to Bama and trying to figure out how to solve this problem. After trying multiple tunes the idle still drops and occasionally stalls. I've been thinking about buying the Accel coil packs.

hotpony, you can also set your neutral rpm and idle rpm to 750. raising your idle rpm to 750 or 800rpm will solve alot of your surging or dipping of rpms. It helped alot with mine.
