Racing Stripes

I can't decide on the size of stripe that I should put on my 13 3.7. There's 8, 10, and 12in stripes. Looking at the rear end of my car, I don't think the 12" would look right. But I've noticed the larger the stripe, the better it looks. Any suggestions or pics of anyone's 13+ that have done it?

What type of stripe are you thinking of? This will help us get a better estimate of size. There is a solid stripe down the middle, super snake stripe, lemans stripes, lemans with pin stripes ect....

If its your first time you'll want to pull your hair out! Lol. It's not hard to do but its attention to detail that makes you crazy. Take your time and I suggest you do it over a period of days if your doing a Gt 500 look.

Find a place that does window tint.

If you have a good window tint place they will probably be able to install your stripes with no problems. (NOT A FLY BY NIGHT) guy working out of the car at your house but a REPUTABLE window tinting business with a shop to do it properly.

It's definitely not fun your first time. If you plan on changing styles every couple of years (boss 302-Gt 500 etc) I say go for it I'm glad I did as now they look professionally done. But if you plan on keeping your style for a while save yourself the headaches! BTW if you do choose to do it yourself a heat gun or hair dryer is your best friend.

I don't reccomend you buy the leman's stripe pack from AM, they use some terrible quality material which will make the process of installation a million times harder. I bought my AM stripes and installed them in one day with the help of a friend, it's moderately difficult but the flimsy material used made it pretty damn hard to install without having air bubbles. In the end it came out nearly perfect but i am considering getting a custom decal shop to hook it up with a good stripe kit.

Nice! I'm gonna attempt to do them myself cause the cheapest shop around me is charging $300. And that's not including the vinyl.

Our local Vinyl Guy was actually commenting on the quality of AM's Stripes, He just put the 10" Lemans stripes from AM on my Friends car for $150. And he does most of the work in Knoxville for the Dealers on Striping and Vehicle Wraps

Well i guess that is a bit confusing then haha. In my experience , the AM lemans were terrible, but maybe I just got a bad batch? It is possible because i ordered the side rocker stripes and these were excellent quality, much different from the chinese plastic bag quality the lemans had

What color are you going with? I think 2 black stripes would look great on that color.

10" Dual Gloss Black Bumper to Bumper.
I originally was going to go with a darker red but with all the samples I have around here none were the right shade and I am to cheap and/or Broke to do paint right now.

I live mines 12" but I've had them from and the weather conditions are starting to show. I did it myself the first time and did a reasonable job, but after my wreck the body shop did the hood for me and trust me get someone to do it for you...
