V6 Pricing

Is Ford dropping the prices to beat Camaro sales this year or getting rid of stock for new generation 2015s?
Here is an example: 2014 Ford Mustang V6 | New Mustang | Georgetown, TX | 1ZVBP8AM4E5210001

What you guys think?

That isn't a dropped price. That's what you would expect to pay for that car. They are just bypassing all the haggling and putting up a price on the internet. It also could be on the lot for the past 3 months and he's trying to get rid of it.

Most Ford Dealers have an internet department that is going to give you a better deal on the Car over coming into the Store.
1 of our local dealers has his cars listed for $3000-$4000 less on the internet while they will try to get MSRP when you go to the store.

I could never figure that out either. You have to go to the dealership regardless to sign and pick up. Is there really a difference between internet and walking in? I also know that Camaro and Challenger V6s are never this low. I ain't complaining, I would like to see more Mustang brothers out on the road. I also think for the price + mpg + hp = true value for your dollar.
Essentially base V6 305 hp / 22.2k cost = $73 per hp while GT 420hp / 30.7k cost = $73 per hp
That was just lowest base price from the ford.com
We all know you can get a V6 at lower price compared to the 5.0

Ford.com is MSRP, not the actual price you pay. Big difference.

There was also an article posted on a forum last week that the U.S. plant that makes the Mustangs is shutting down this summer to re-tool, and produce the Ford Fusion that is selling hot right now (30,000 last month alone). The Mustangs numbers have been slipping downward; most are saying because the 2015 model is coming out, and new Mustang buyers are waiting for it.

So, perhaps the dealers are now selling at better prices to clear their lot, rather than sit on them because the sales of Mustangs are down.

But I doubt you will be able to score a 2015 mustang for anywhere near the 2013 or 2014s are going for which makes them a great but right now.

They are not going to sell them at a loss, and if you haggle good enough, you can get them at almost cost any time of year. So they aren't really "a good deal" right now, they are just marking them lower to make people think that they are getting a better deal, and to cut haggling out of the equation. It's a marketing scheme. Also, they typically mark Internet prices lower than msrp because the acquisition cost is much lower.

They'll be still selling the 14 way after the 15 is announced, some people really like the current design, and they won't want to change.

Lief Johnson for me. He actually quoted me a few grand below the lowest price anyone else in the area was offering. Super nice staff as well, and best of all, no delivery fee and no ugly dealer badge.

I drove 200 miles in the Dealers Focus to trade for mine. Went from the Dealer in North Carolina to my house so the dealer never got a chance to put the Dealer Crap on it.

Hey, did you get the premium model? If so, how much was yours? I got the same exact car (minus the security package ($695) but I got a remote start and back up camera (about 650 total).
So if you got a premium, ours should have been about the same price. (not including TTL)

Right around $29,600, MSRP was $33,170 http://fordlabels.webview.biz/webvie...BP8AM9D5240299
Yours Might have been more for the MSRP because of the Automatic.
Still working on getting a harness made up for the Camera on mine

I drive 45 miles to and from work everyday, so 90 miles there plus what I drive to and from jobs at work, I will probably put about 300 miles on tomorrow alone.

The one I was looking at was Red Candy and was 35,400, had everything but the Glass Roof.
You also had $395 for the Red Candy Paint.
I also used X-Plan and there was $1500 cash back.

The 34,875 included the red candy paint. I looked at my window sticker. I don't have the security package, so that is probably the extra $500 difference from the one you saw.

That's like me also, I'm in college right now, but I went all out and got the premium with all the packages. IMO, if I'm getting a car, mind as well get the one I want and enjoy it while I can.

Thats the way to go. We qualify for ford D plan pricing so we get about 4K off MSRP and then 2500K off in rebated cuz I bought a 13. I bought a 5.0 though. Got a hell of a deal my husbands dad is the general manager of a ford dealership in Texas.
