custom DS

I don't like the $700 price tag on AMs aluminum driveshaft so I've been researching and found a shop that can do a custom aluminum DS for my mustang for around $400. what's the difference?

After consulting with my calculator, $300. Maybe you could include some more details so the rest of us could read something about it.

There are plenty of shops that can easily make anyone a new drive shaft. Mine is a hybrid both steel and aluminum. Costed me 250 and I hit 150mph (closed track) easily

I doubt AM actually makes the drive shaft, so there's most likely a profit margin added to the DS bought from them. AM is great though on customer service and standing by what they sell.

there's that shop online which you fill out this questionnaire about your car and they send it to you. I'm fiends with the owner of another shop who specializes in only driveshafts so I might go there. that one is even cheaper $300. kind of like Charlie's I guess. I jus don't get why AMs is $700

Easy

American Muscle will give you a discount bringing it down to $658.00. ( if you have 50 posts or more) Then they will pay the shipping to your home. They pay Shaftmasters and what is left over they pay the employees and overhead of running their business. Always remember too that American Muscle will price match if you find the exact same driveshaft cheaper from a legitimate business.
