255/45/18????

I was just wondering if someone can enlighten me about my idea, I'm
Thinking about putting 255/45 all the way around on my stock wheel, I have a 2013 v6 premium.

And ideas are welcome as well! I'm trying to go on the wide tires look, coz 235 right now is pretty skinny

That is what I did on my 2010, 31000 miles on them when I sold it and they were wearing straight across. It did look better with a little wider tire also.

A post two days ago asked about 255/40/18's. If your wheels are 8 to 9 inches, you are fine. A 45% of width is not going to be much different that 40%; may affect the MPH just slightly slower.

Use this tire calculator to see any differences in MPH readings:

Should be like any front bumper cover swap: the bumper cover itself, the center grille, and lower grille/valance.

The fog light connectors changed in the 2011 to 2012 V6 to GT arrangements: the V6's used an H11 bulb, and the GT's used an H10.

Don't know what the 2013's and up are using in the way of fog light bulbs (since the V6 and GT's share the same front bumper cover now). A quick look in an owners manual would tell us.

This would only be important if you had fog lights in an early V6, and were going to the California Special 2013 and up front bumper cover style swap and wanted to retain the fog lights. You can slice or buy adaptors (H11 to H10 and vice versa) from Ebay.

IMO 10" rears are too wide for an everyday driver.. If you're doing staggered an 8.5" front and 9.5" rear look great with 19" wheels.
