If that is below what is legal, can you afford a ticket if caught?

I did 20% and I'm glad I did it. Any darker and parallel parking a night would be tricky.

Can a retint be bad? Wont it bubble? What's the cons? I'm looking to drop down to %20 vs my 35 I'm running now. The tan interior really makes it looks like 50 or something.

Lol I meant removing the current and having it redone to 5%. It will cost twice as much bc they will have to remove the old

Here's a link to a site that provides the allowable tint percentage in each state. Many states are cracking down on too dark window tinting; if I were an officer having to approach a vehicle I could not see into (reason for the laws of being too dark), I'd like to see it inforced more.

Welcome to TintLaws.com

Can we assume that you'll cough up the money to pay the fine if/when he gets ticketed?

In no way would I want to be a police officer...the amount of danger they have to put up with todays current criminals is not for me.

What you are basically saying is the heck with the law, and those that inforce it. I want dark windows and don't care how this indangers an officer.

Put yourself in a position of an officer that has pulled a car over for a traffic violation. As you walk up to the drivers side window, you are aware that you cannot see into the car. Do you know how that drivers going to react to the officer who cannot see into the car?

Alright guys well I went for it back windshield 5% I'm leaving the rest 35% I don't think I'll get bothered too much I mean the cop can still see in my window perfectly fine since it legal the back windshield doesn't really matter in my eyes and no cop is going to dive into my small back seat to check the tint anyways

You will probably be just fine. Tint guy in Missouri tinted my old 05 stang 35% in front and 5% on rear windows and a brow on the windshield that was 5%. He said it was legal at the time and I never got harassed for it. Even got a DWI in it and never got cited for the windows. Traded it in no problem in Illinois a couple years ago. They didn't say anything about it at the dealership either.

I'm 17% all around. Love it. Been pulled over once for speeding and the cop didn't mention anything... Then again I'm in FL, he didn't mention my lack of mufflers either so take it for what it's worth

It was too dark for me on my last car at night trying to back out. I converted my reverse lights to LED and had to have the windows down and stick my head out to back up. Other than that I loved it..

Yeah but I have a back up camera with a 7 inch in dash screen so I think I'm alright I'll just have to be a little more careful

Thank god I live in ky I have 18 all around. Legal in back but not on doors but I had 5 percent before and hated it at night trying to back up. Btw they make spray that is only like 20 bucks tiny comes right off. Never pay them to do that. And I had a truck tinted my own windows there is a company who sells tint pre cut for your windows online. It's really easy and I didn't get a bubble if that's the route your interested in.
