I disagree with the shorties. They are a good replacement for stock exhaust manifold replacement, but do not up the performance that much. Long tube is the best way to go, but will require some exhaust work to get them to connect to the stock pipes, unless you buy a complete kit.

I'm looking at decreasing my 0-60. I have 3.73 gears. tune. cai. throttle body. I do the 0-60 in 4.9 sec. could adding long tubes, x pipe, axle backs possibly get me down to 4.6 range?

With the tuner helping the lt's it wont hurt, it'll give about 30hp i believe.

I'm having UCA and LCAs (both adj) installed on Thursday. should I expect any improvement besides better traction in the 0-60 from those? from what I understand shorties only help sound-no performance?

Better traction = better 0-60

The HP outweighs the loss in torque.

Since your not really getting a lot of gains from Shorty Headers, how about installing them to reduce the heat in your engine? For people who live in the desert areas like in Arizona or California?

People keep forgetting the sound. Could care less of performance. Just want the sound.

Living in Cali leaves no choice for the shorty's. I want long tube headers but I don't want to change them back 5 years down the road. But if you get a catted x pipe with the long tubes will that make it carb exempt?

I dont think the high flow cats burn enough fuel as the stock cats for cali so I dont think you would pass unless you got different cats installed

That figures; I am going for power so I want long tubes and I am not moving to a different state because some hippie wants my car to run the same as their Prius. I will talk to my local muffler guy and see what he can do to get the pass on the visual.

You could gut ur stock cats and have them welded into the off road pipe and have a tuner to clear the code right before you go to the inpection

If you have a tuner it can be disabled permanently bro.

Replacements for cracks stock ones or Eye Candy hahaha almost no gains and very minimal flow difference. Ford makes decent shorty headers stock the BBK ones arent that great why do u think u never seen any videos or any demos besides bbk themselves. I doubt many will buy them unless its for a show car or for replacements

I heard that if you put shorties on your 3.7 it will be faster than a new GT500. can't forget the cobra emblem either!
