Fuel filter ?

So do the 2011 and up not have fuel filters ?
Iv read they have one in the gas tank but its "permanent and does not need replaced " not sure how a filter never needs replaced lol
But I'm Being lazy and asking rather then climbing under the car and looking .
Thanks

No seperate fuel filter (along a fuel line). Only a filter at the fuel pump (submersible) in the gas tank. You can get at it (if need be) by removing the back seat bottom and removing the access cover to get at the tank/fuel pump/filter sock.

Yep, GT's too. Less maintenance they (Ford) state.

You bet. I was a bit supprised as to the lack of an inline filter for this Mustang, as my F150's always had one.

Also supprised to see that some bigger known parts stores are attempting to sell us one!

So dumb this down for me since I just got the 30k mile replacement recommendation, is it something that needs to be done or not?

Ford considers this type of fuel filter "lifetime", although they don't state what "lifetime" really is.

So, no, the owners manual does not state any fuel filter change interval for our late motel Mustangs.
